Face primers I'm loving

My newest makeup phase and obsession is buying and trying out new face primers. I've recently got back
in to makeup and have loved purchasing new launches and products I've wanted to try for ages. As a result
of this I've been trying new products out but also switching up some of the products that I already own and
used to love! Face primers have become a new favourite of mine as they prepare your base, give you a
flawless finish and help your makeup last all day long, looking just as good as it did in the morning!

I love hydrating primers that give you all the moisture and lock it in, whilst helping your makeup last all
day. This primer in particular is 70% water and enriched with hibiscus extract and glycerine to smooth out
the skin and reduce the appearance of imperfections. This also smells like watermelon and raspberry
which makes the primer even better to use! Full review here.

I can only think of one other primer that I have finished and repurchased, and this is the other. This was so
popular and took so long to get hold off, but I know why it was. For only £9 this has high-end makeup
quality. Completely blurring out the skin leaving a smooth silky base that still adds moisture to the skin.
Applying this with my finger to melt into the skin and become one with my skin. Full review here.

For years I have heard people rave about this primer, but I just never got around to trying it. I received this
mini size in a Roccabox* last year, and have only just got around to trying it. This smoothes over the skin
effortlessly to blur flaws and give a youthful appearance. 93% of people saw blurred and smoothed skin
whilst 95% of people said it helped their makeup to go on flawlessly. As I have normal to dry skin and this
doesn't cling or accentuate any dry or textured areas one my skin.

This is one of the first ever primers I remember loving and actually noticing a difference from using it.
This is targeted towards those with large pores and imperfections as this blurs out the skin, leaving a
smooth blank canvas for your base. I like to apply this to my t-zone, and use my finger to blend it in as the
warmth from your skin helps to melt down the product and give an effortless finish. Immediately after
applying you can notice a difference in your skin, without it sticking to any dry patches or your foundation
gliding over the top. They also have a pearl and hydrating version of this primer, which I am also
interested in trying after hearing amazing things about!

Am I the only one that forgets about Marks and Spencer's stocking beauty products, never mind having
their own beauty range? If I went a lightweight yet hydrating primer this is the one I go for. Often I use
this on the outside of my face and a pore blurring primer on the inside, to get the perfect combination.
This is enriched with aloe and cucumber to hydrate the skin and help your makeup last all night long.

Finding a primer that smoothes and blurs whilst hydrating and illuminating the skin, is pretty unheard of.
That was until I tried this primer. The satin velvet formula glides over the skin, evening out any texture
and pores for a flawless finish. This also contains pearl powder and natural earth minerals which provide
an natural tint and luminosity to the skin for an even skin tone and radiant glow. As this blurs, hydrates
and illuminates it's perfect to wear on its own as well as underneath makeup.

What is your favourite face primer?

  1. ELF and Benefit are my absolute favourites. I've just purchased a new tinted primer from Beauty Pie and I can't wait to give it a try

  3. I always forget to use primers if I'm honest! It's only once I'm struggling with foundation that I remember! I have used the Benefit Porefessional a few times though and I really like it. I feel like it just gives such a nice blank canvas!
