The Garnier hair food range has always caught my eye since they first launched. They now have 6 lines
inside of their hair food range, with their newest being watermelon and pomegranate. Each line has a
different target, ranging from; nourishing and repairing to smoothing and plumping. I have previously
tried the banana and Shea trio (review here) which aims to nourish your hair. I am a huge sucker for any
beauty product that is watermelon related, from; hair and skincare to bath products and makeup.
As soon as this launched I knew I had to get my hands on it, not just because it was watermelon related
but also because I was curious about the aims of plumping the hair. It took me a while but I finally got
my hands on it in my local Savers. Each line smells exactly like the food it's intended which makes the
experience of washing your hair, more fun and less like a chore.
I didn't realise until recently that a good shampoo is hard to find. The one I've been using doesn't lather up
very well and you have to use a lot of product, whilst it also dries out my hair slightly. I'm waiting to use it
up and cannot wait to switch over to this. This shampoo uses a light foam to gently cleanse and boost my
hair, whilst still adding in hydration yet not weighing my hair down. With the scent being watermelon and
pomegranate your are left with a super fresh summery scent in your hair, that isn't too overwhelming.
Believe it or not but about 5 years ago I never used to use conditioner, now I use it every time I wash
my hair, and I notice a huge difference if I don't. This conditioner in particular has a creamy texture to
detangle, condition and plump the hair, leaving your hair looking visibly smooth and healthy. I like to
leave this on for a few minutes to help my hair soak it all in and get the maximum benefits.
These hair masks are constantly being praised, and used by so many people I know both on and offline.
One key selling point is the amount of product you get for your money; 390ml for only £6.99 (although is
often on sale). This is also a 3-in-1 conditioner and can be used as a regular conditioner, hair mask or
leave in conditioner. With a blend of coconut oil, watermelon extract and aloe vera juice, this masks
conditions and hydrates the hair whilst plumping it if you have fine hair, without weighing it down.
Have you tried any of the Garnier Ultimate Blends hair food range?
