January to April favourites

Ever since I started blogging I've always done monthly favourites post. But if I'm being honest I don't
try that many new products or rediscover past favourites, so I found them becoming difficult to write,
if not repetitive. This year I decided to switch it up and do quarterly favourites, to give me the
opportunity to explore new products and give them a true testing. I'm still going to stick to showing
just my top 5 products, occasionally adding in a few more. This year so far has been a whirlwind of
emotions and events for all of us, and is already a year that nobody will ever forget.

I've been kindly receiving the Roccabox beauty box for the last few months. In March one of the
items I included was the Umberto Giannini banana butter leave in conditioner*. Although I haven't
had this long I am so in love with this product. Usually I'm not the biggest fan of the artificial banana
scent, but this smells incredible. I've also never used a leave in conditioner, as I usually reach for my
regular conditioner or a hair mask if I want extra nourishment, but I realise how much I've been
missing out. This is targeted towards those with curly hair as restores the bounce and manageability
back to the curls, however it also repairs, strengthens, de-frizzes and moisturises the hair without
weighing it down. I don't have curly hair but I love because it adds so much moisturise back into my
hair and has helped to limit the amount of split ends that I get. Can't recommend this enough.

Back in November I received the Dermalogica redness relief essence toner* and to say it's been my
favourite toner, seems like an understatement, I use this every day because it makes such a difference
to my skin. This is aimed at reducing redness by restoring the skins moisture balance as it is
concentrated light a serum, whilst lightweight like a toner. This is slightly thicker than any previous
toners that I've tried, but I think that might be one of the reason I like it so much. It also smells
incredible and has lasted me 6 months, with using it pretty much everyday.

In February Jaclyn Hill collaborated with Morphe again to create a vol 2. palette (review here) and
whilst I was purchasing I made sure to add the Jaclyn Cosmetics beaming light loose highlighter
(extra) to my basket as she is truly the highlight queen, so I knew this would be incredible. She
definitely didn't disappoint. This has super fine luminous pearls throughout which helps achieve that
buildable wet-shine look. This is by far the most pigmented highlight that I own and you only need
the smallest amount. I never had any doubt in Jaclyn, but can't believe how incredible this truly is.

A few years ago I received a So...? Fragrance body mist for the first time, in the scent watermelon,
and ever since then my love for them have grown. So much so that I now own every single scent they
do including their summer escapes range. I thought I had a favourite scent until I purchased the pink
lemonade body mist. This is by far one of my all time favourite scents. This has a blend of fizzy
lemon, red berries, pear and raspberries that compliment each other perfectly. Despite being a body
mist, rather than perfume, this lasts for hours on the skin and also contains over 600 sprays.

There are so many incredible serums on the market (review here), but I've been loving the Good
molecules hyaluronic acid serum* in particular. The hyaluronic acid is perfect for those lacking
moisture in your skin, and I am one of those, this also helps target redness and scarring as well as fine
lines and wrinkles. I love this serum for 2 main reasons; how it leaves my skin looking and feeling,
both immediately and over time, and how fast it sinks into my skin without being sticky to touch. So
many serums are incredibly thick and leave your face feeling tacky, however this glides on the skin
like water and leaves your face feeling silky smooth and hydrated immediately.

  6. I love the idea of this favourites post. I'm in the same boat. I don't try/use up as many products a month as I used to. I love a good serum, I struggle with redness so it sounds amazing for that! x
