Since I live at home, I find that my bedroom isn't just my bedroom. It's also my office, reading space,

living area, dressing room and many more. I try to separate each area and have made the best use of

the space, however over the years it's started to look the same and all blend together. I love to make

small changes to my room because I find they make the biggest difference, yet I didn't have a huge

budget to spend. I headed over to Wilkos and picked out a few items to transform my room.

PILLOWS

The first thing I always do when I want to change up my room a bit or add something extra is buy

new pillows. I went for the pink chenille cushions, since I do have quite a lot of pink hints throughout

my room. I have 2 large handmade grey cushions which pairs perfectly alongside the pink. I love

these so much because not only are they super soft, since they are chenille, but they are also the

perfect size for the bed without taking up loads of room.

THROW BLANKET

I have a slight addiction to throw blankets. Any chance to buy a new one and I will. This time I

picked up the pink soft velvet effect throw blanket. At first I wasn't sure if this would be ideal since

it is summer and the throw blanket is quilted, however it is perfect. Instead of lying underneath

my duvet I choose to use this. It's the perfect weight and thickness for keeping your warm at night

without waking up sweating and will be perfect for layering in the winter. The colour of this matches

perfectly alongside the cushions and is incredibly soft. I often struggle with how to style throw

blankets, but I useably opt for loosely hung on the top or end of the bed.

DECORATIVE TRAY

After I've used soft furnishings to spruce up my room I decided to pick up a round pink tray. I got

the idea for this from Pinterest, and loved the overall look it gave. I use the tray as a place make the

bed look more expressive and decorative. I add small details and decorative pieces, but also pair the

book I'm currently reading to make the space multi purposeful.

SMALL DETAILS
As for the decorative details that I add to the tray I chose to add the fresh cotton and lily reed diffuser
and faux flowers. These add different textures to the space, whilst the fresh cotton and lily scent gives
a more calming environment and relaxing vibe. I chose to go with faux flowers as they are I don't
have to keep them alive, but also because they will aways look beautiful no matter what.
