A guide to Puerto Rico (Gran Canaria)

Over the years I've been to Gran Canaria twice, and this is my third time going back. The only other
Canary Island I've visited was Lanzarote. I was lucky enough to be in a position where I could go on
another holiday. Not only was it a chance to relax and be in the sun, but also a chance for me and
Liam to spend time together thats not cooped in a bedroom. I've shared my previous 2 trips to Gran
Canaria (read part 1 here, part 2 here and here for the second time I went), but this time I wanted to
share a guide and things you can do whilst there if you're looking at going.

This year we stopped at the Puerto Calma Hotel. Since we were sharing an apartment with
my parents for a week, me and Liam slept on the pull out sofa. Each room has a huge balcony
and beautiful view of the Marine, down below.

As we are stopping right by the Marine, we often found ourselves wondering down to
look at the boats and also stop for lunch and pick up sweet treat on the way round.

For those days where you just want to chill and have a relaxed day you can head down to
the beach. We like to walk along the beach or in the shallow edge of the sea to cool off and
often find ourselves looking in and out of the shops on the sea front. Or even going and
visiting a different beach (Amadores or MogĆ n).

From the hotel the town is about a 5-10 minute walk away. There are so many different
shops to browse, restaurants to eat in and pubs to spend the evening in.

We also found ourselves wanting to do small activities so we chose mini golf and
also jet skiing from the wide variety of water sports available.

Every Friday Puerto De MogĆ”n have a huge market where you can pick up beautiful gifts
for friends and family, whilst eating ice cream and taking incredible photos. Even though I've
been quite a lot before, I still enjoy taking the ferry over and looking around.

Are you going on holiday this year?

xoxo
