The thought of using a cushion foundation is still really weird to me even though
I own one. I have heard of foundations like this for a long time now, but I first heard
that Loreal was releasing their own from Jaclyn Hill. Jaclyn loves quite a few of the
Loreal foundations and so do I, so when she said that she loved this one I knew that
I had to get my hands on it. Sadly it wasn't available in the UK at the time, but thankfully
when I went to London recently and saw it in Boots I snatched it up fast!
This retails for £14.99 which is on the more pricey side for drugstore or high street
makeup, but it is still a reasonable and cheap price compared to other foundations like
this. This is available in 7 shade mainly aimed at people with a medium complexion, and
their isn't shades for fair or dark skin tones. This comes in sturdy packaging with a
small mirror, a applicator sponge and a cover to stop the foundation from drying out.
This is a really interesting product to use as the product itself is in the cushion which you
then tap a brush or sponge into and apply straight to the face. This foundation gives
a medium coverage and a light dewy finish to the skin. When I first used this I thought
I would give the sponge that comes with the foundation a go and use that to apply
the foundation. I wouldn't recommend doing this, as for me it didn't apply evenly and
didn't get the best application from. The best way I have found to apply this is
with using my Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge.
I do really enjoy all aspects of this foundation from the cushion to the coverage and
finish. If you are looking to try out a new foundation concept or to try a more affordable
cushion foundation before buying a high end one, then I would recommend this.
