Everyday Summer Makeup Routine

Summer in England is something we always joke and laugh about because we never
really get a good, decent summer. So far this years summer has been pretty hit and miss.
We've had some good hot days but nothing like other countries! However I have found
that it has been super humid this year, which my makeup and hair don't appreciate!

Foundation is very hit or miss in the summer. Some days you can wear it without it sliding
and sweating of your face throughout the day but some days you can feel it melting as soon
as you walk out of the door! If I do wear foundation I like to use the Revlon colourstay or the
Loreal true match foundation to get a good coverage but also be light weight. If I am going
out on the night in the summer I like to use the Dior forever skin foundation which I did a
full review on which you can read a more in depth review on here. If I don't go for a
foundation then I will most likely use my Bourjois CC cream as it is super light weight.

To make sure my base makeup stays in place I like to set it all in place with the Ben Nye
translucent powder. Then I also like to use a setting spray to lock it all in place.

If any of you are like me then you will know that summer is the time that you can get
away with packing on pounds and pounds of highlighter! If I use a liquid highlighter then I
always apply it under my foundation to give me a dewy finish. At the moment I am loving
using the MUA undress you skin highlighter in iridescent gold and add a small amount
of MAC's soft and gentle on top with my finger, to the high points of my face.

I also like to use a lot of bronzer to add the illusion that I've been on holiday and that I've got
a natural bronzed glow! For blush I usually stick with a light pink with a slight iridescent glow
to add more glow and highlight to the skin, even if we do already look like a disco ball!

Eyebrows I keep big and bold as usually and just do a few coats of mascara to my eyes
add some extra definition. I don't usually do a lot of eye shadow but if I do I usually
use neutral colours such as the Tanya Burr birthday suit palette.

For lips I either like to go for a light nude shade or a bright pop of colour. At the moment
I am loving the Tanya Burr matte lip in Rhubarb and Custard as it's a lovely
bright pink that is the perfect shade for skin tone as well as not being too intense.
