Trying to do this post has been so stressful I can't even put into words. I originally made
Easter cupcakes but they didn't turn out how I wanted them to. So then I thought
I would make Easter cookies but I don't really have any Easter themed cookie cutters.
Then I thought I would just do Spring cookies but then I just thought scrap that I'll
just make normal cookies because I know they probably wont go to plan anyway.
I decided to made the milk and white chocolate cookies from the baking section in the
Love Tanya book, by Tanya Burr. They definetly do not look at nice as hers do!
For 10 cookies you will need:
200g butter
300g caster sugar
1 large egg
325g self raising flour
Dash of milk (optional)
200g white chocolate
200g milk chocolate
Step 1
First you need to preheat your oven to 200°C
Step 2
Mix together your butter and sugar until it is pale
and creamy
Step 3
Crack in your egg and mix all together
Step 4
Gradually add in your flour unit it is fully mixed
Step 5
Break up the chocolate into chunks and add to
the mixture
Step 6
Using your hands, make into balls and then place
them on a baking sheet covered in grease proof paper
Step 7
Bake for around 10-12 minutes, then leave to cool
for around 25 minutes
These taste incredible and even better with a glass of milk
or a nice cup of tea. If you recreate these tag me in
your photos on Twitter or Instagram. Enjoy!!
