2016 Spring Essentials

Spring has officially sprung and since I first started my blog I have done a essentials
post every season. Because of this I thought it was only right to show you my
2016 Spring essentials. I think Spring is my second favourite season after Autumn.
This is mainly because it isn't too hot or too cold and there are pretty pastel colours
and everyone just seems to be a lot happier. Plus little baby animals are being born!

Moisturiser is key all year round but especially in Spring. I think this because
we're just getting over the extremely cold weather but we don't want
out skin to dry out again for Spring and Summer. For my face I love the
Aveeno daily moistursing lotion and for my body I love using the Soap and
Glory the righteous butter which is extremely moisturising and great for people
who have super dry skin, and for using on your knees, elbows and ankles.

Since we're on the whole skincare topic I have really gotten into using facial oils.
The one I use is the NSPA deep hydrating facial oil. I love using this at night to
give add in more moisture to the face. The reason I love facial oils in the Spring
is the same reason as I love using a really hydrating moisturiser - because
we're just getting over winter but we don't want to start neglecting our skin.

I love having a dewy look to my skin year round but I think it looks especially nice
in the Spring time. Mainly because the sun starts coming out and people
are getting slightly more tanned. Well unless you live in England! And the whole
dewy look really fits into the whole aspect of Spring. To give me this look
I love using the Loreal Lumi magique primer underneath my makeup and for
a highlighter I love using the Becca shimmering skin perfector in Champagne Pop
by Jaclyn Hill, because it is the perfect gold colour that isn't too sheer or
too heavy and can easily transfer your look from day - night time.

Finding a lip colour that not only you like but matches the season can be quite hard
I think. However a few months ago Revlon was having a 3 for 2 offer at Boots
and I decided to try out one of their matte balms as it would be free. I picked up
mine in the shade 225 Sultry. This is the perfect berry shade for Autumn
and Winter but also has the perfect amount of rose tones to be a great
transition shade from Winter to Spring time.
