Current favourite face primers

Face primers have become a new favourite of mine. So much so that I have an entire drawer in my
makeup collection dedicated for them. Since I've started doing my makeup more, I have loved finding new
products, but especially those that give me a flawless base and help keep my makeup in place all day long.
I've lost count of the amount of primers I've picked up recently, but I've definitely found some new
favourites. I could go on forever about all the primers I owned, which is why I decided to whittle it down
to my top 4 face primers that I'm loving at the moment.

I've been loving and using the ELF putty primers for about 3 years now and have loved the new editions
they've added to the range. Their newest edition is the blemish fighting putty primer which contains 1.8%
salicylic acid to prevent future breakouts, whilst smoothing over imperfections and pores for a clear and
flawless complexion. This is my favourite out of all the putty primers as it's the creamiest, glides perfectly
on the face without clogging my skin and makes my makeup last all day long.

TikTok is both a blessing and a curse when it comes to makeup. I get so many product recommendations
from there, however my bank account doesn't seem to like it. A product that went viral was the ELF mint
melt cooling face primer as it's a dupe for the Milk Makeup hydro grip primer. This primer took me
months to find and get my hands on as it was out of stock everywhere, due to the popularity of it. This is
infused with hyaluronic acid and antioxidants to keep your skin looking and feeling fresh at all times. The
jelly like texture works as a gripping agent to help your makeup stay put and not move throughout the day.

During the autumn and winter months, my skin (like a lot of other peoples) gets really dry and lacks
moisture. I always make sure to use products that have as much moisture and hydration in them as
possible to give my skin the nourishment it needs. That's why I love the XX Revolution youth juice
bomb face primer. This is 70% water and contains hibiscus extract which helps to not only primers the
skin but also hydrates and refreshes at the same time.

A few years ago I was obsessed with the Loreal infallible anti fatigue face primer, and after they stopped
selling it in my local drugstore I completely forgot about it. I was online shopping recently and stumbled
across it again and knew immediately that I had to pick it up and I'm glad I did! This is an ultra light-
weight primer with apricot pigments to help combat dullness and signs of fatigue, by brightening and
lifting the skin for a revitalised and youthful appearance.

What's your favourite face primer?

  5. You’ve made me really want to try the elf and revolution one! I’m so bad I rarely wear face primers 🙈. I’ll occasionally use my max factor one! I saw on tik tok a lad used Durex lube before his makeup 👀 kinda weird but also kinda intrigued haha! Xx

    1. You should definitely try them out! I saw that too, but also saw that it makes your foundation ball up and come off, so I'll pass x
