Body confidence in the bedroom

A recent passion of mine has become talking about more taboo topics. I started a few years ago when
I introduced mental health chats into my blog, and after they were so well received I wanted to do
more. In December I starting talking about sex, body confidence and periods. On my Instagram I
asked for what blog posts you would be interested in seeing, regarding these topics, and body
confidence in the bedroom came out on top. I wanted to talk about this topic first as I know the
majority of us will have struggled or experienced with this at some point or are worried about this for
the future. Obviously I can't speak for everyone, but these are some tips and advice that I've found
have helped me grow in confidence and the love for my body in the bedroom.

The first tip that I would give is the physical side of things. Confidence comes from within, but it's
also nice to feel good beautiful on the outside. Pamper your body. This is something that makes me
feel so good about myself. I will wash my hair, paint my nails, shave, moisturise. Go all out. If
applying fake tan and doing your lashes makes you feel more confident then try that. It makes such a
difference when you feel good on the outside.

There is something about putting on some lingerie, cute pyjamas or a role-play outfit that gives you
so much confidence. Playsuits make me feel real confident, which is why I love this black lace set
from Pour Moi. I also love slipping on a little red lingerie body that shows off my curves. When it
comes to role-play outfits, I find they can either make you love or hate your body. So I definitely
recommend trying them on beforehand so you can get a feel of what you're going to look like in the
moment. When I try things on beforehand and love how I look it gets me excited to wear it later on
and gives me self-boost throughout the day.

Whether you are in a long term relationship or you are having a one night stand, it's so important to
remind yourself that, that persons wants to be there and having sex with you right now. No matter if
it is the fist time or the hundredth time you are having sex with someone, if they don't love and
appreciate your body then you shouldn't be having sex with them. It's a personal choice but why
would you want to be having sex and being intimate with someone who isn't attracted too you and is
going to make you feel awful about yourself. So remind yourself that they are there for a reason and
are attracted to you and your body just like you are to them.

Setting the scene can often help get in the mood and feeling confident. A lot of people prefer to have
sex with the lights off, some like to make things romantic with candles and rose petals. Make sure to
communicate. Whether it's about things you like, dislike, want to try, anything. Communication is the
key. Stick to what you know but also don't be afraid to experiment and try new things (maybe just
not all at once). Most importantly be yourself. Do what makes you feel comfortable and confident.
Wear what makes you feel confident. Make sure what you're doing is for you, not anyone else.
