2018 April favourites

I say this every month but I don't know how we're now in May. Next month, we'll be half way through the year. April has been a pretty relaxed month. The nights have gotten lighter and the sun has came out to play - especially this weekend. I've nearly finished another unit at college, I've had a 2 week break, applied for 2 jobs, heard back from 1 and booked in for another small tattoo. I have also announced a giveaway over on my Facebook and twitter page that ends this TUESDAY!

May I'm going away for a few days, got another week off, a tattoo (giving me a total of 10)
and much more relaxing. Here's to May!!

Pixi - Book of beauty
TKMAXX has become my new favourite store, especially since finding this contour palette by Pixi Beauty, for a fraction of the price. I didn't realise when I bought this how much I would fall in love and how often I would use this. Despite only using 1 out of 6 shades, it is truly worth it. The shade I've been using is the middle contour shade, which is more grey toned. This is the perfect shade for contouring as it defines the cheeks and sculpts the face without looking too orange toned.

The Ordinary - serum foundation
After longing for products from The Ordinary, I finally picked up some of their products (haul here). My favourite product, by far, that I picked up was the serum foundation. I love this because not only is it super lightweight but it also has medium-high coverage, depending on how much you apply. This is perfect for this time of year, where you don't want anything too heavy but still want the coverage.

Indie Lee - Coq 10 toner
This month, was the month that Lydia Elise Millen released her beauty box in collaboration with Cult Beauty. Detailed review here. This was one of the products inside, and I've been using this nearly everyday. This combats signs of ageing and stabilises the skins natural PH balance. Being only 19, I haven't noticed any changes in ageing. I like using this as it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, it makes my face look refreshed and hydrated. Truly the perfect toner.

Barry M - Glitterati nail polish (socialite)
Nail polish is something I own, but don't really care about since I get my nails done professionally. I only ever paint my toenails and always got for the same 2 or 3 colours. When I was browsing the Superdrug website I saw this beautiful pink iridescent nail polish from Barry M. I picked it up and didn't know how I would wear this. I have been using this over top of a hot pink from Essie. This gives the nails a professional look with a shimmer of iridescence and holographic.

Maybelline - Total temptation mascara
I've been using this mascara for a few months now and have just started a new tube. Personally I think every mascara is the same, it's just about the shape, size, volume and bristles of the brush. This has a medium sized wand with bristle brushes, that help cover each individual lash whilst making your lashes look long and voluminous without going clumpy.
