In a bit of a blogging slump

This photo is not mine

I have been blogging now for just over 3 years and it has been a bit of a struggle. Trying to
stick to a schedule of posting 3 times a week can be difficult, especially when you are your
own worst critic. In the 3 years I have been blogging there have been a few times where I've
come to a bit of a slump. This is one of those times.

Lately I have been extremely uninspired when it comes to ideas for posts. We are at an awkward time of year when it comes to content. I don't like or enjoy Halloween and there are only so many Autumn themed posts you can do. It's not yet December, meaning that it's not time for Christmas posts.

With the lack of inspiration, I haven't posted much on social media...mainly Instagram. Some of you reading this are probably thinking that it's not even a problem. Yes this is true but when it comes to the perfectionist in me I have to upload in order for me to content with blogging.

Not only have I been feeling uninspired with what to post but also with uploading itself. As I'm not 100% happy with what I am posting, pressing the 'publish' button has been just as hard. I have been really busy lately which is the main reason that posts and uploads have been scattered, but also because of lack of confidence.

The blogging industry is a tough society to be involved with. You are under constant pressure to achieve great things and post consistently, as well as being presentable and remaining positive. You are in a world where you are constantly comparing yourself to other people and other bloggers, just because your content isn't the same as theirs. Our own achievements should be acknowledged and we should feel proud with our work, no matte if 1 person reads or 100,000,000 read. It's ok to not post at the same time, or every day or even at all. There should be no pressure to do what you love.

Post what you want and do what you think is best. Stop comparing yourself to others.
Trust yourself and the decisions you make.
