Top Tips for Bloggers

Just because someone is a blogger doesn't mean that they get everything
handed to them and they live this super glamorous life, like what it looks like.
Most of us probably spend 95% at home, watching TV and do this as a
hobby because we love it and want something to do. Because of this I thought
it would be a good idea to share some of my tips with you if you are thinking
of starting a blog or if you are already a blogger and are wanting some
extra tips to help improve your blog if you're feeling a bit stuck in a rut.

My first and number one tip would be to be yourself. I know everyone
always says this but if you're not then your readers wont be as drawn in.
You want to write about what you want, whether that be makeup, cars,
plants or books. Literally anything you want. But when you do choose/find
what you want to write about, write in a way that you would if you're
talking to a friend or in a less formal but not too informal way as it will
make your readers feel like they personally know you.

My second tip would be to make sure you have good lighting when taking a
photo. You don't have to have a big expensive camera, you can just
use your phone. I have a Canon 1200D but sometimes I just you my
iPhone camera. It doesn't matter what camera you have but if you have
good lighting it will make the biggest difference to your photos.

If you are a blogger then you will want to try to keep up to date with all
your social media as much as you can. Twitter, Instagram and Facebook
are the main platforms that bloggers use. This will help spread the
word about your blog, let people know who you are and will build up
an audience of true loyal readers.

Replying to comments is another big thing for bloggers. Obviously if
you are a bigger blogger it isn't the easiest to keep up to date with
all of the comments. However I would try to reply to as many as you
can. I check my comments every day or so to see if any new
comments have been left and I will always respond back to them.

Staying up to date is something that will help keep your blog stand out the
most. If you write about something incredible and it gets loads of
readers and you don't post again for 6 months then you will have most
likely lost a lot of you readers. I post 3 times a week on the same days
each week. This helps readers know when a new post is coming up.
I would recommend posting a minimum of twice a week.

Having a separate planner for my blogging life has been a massive
help for me. I used to use one planner and write both personal, school
and blogging life in there. I decided this year to help me feel less pressured
I would use a separate planner. If you are only going to take a few of
these tips with you I would recommend this being one of them. In that
planner I write what posts are going up on what day, my ideas, when
the photos have been taken, when they're written and when they have been
uploaded. This helps me stay on top of things and be aware of everything.

I hoped some of these tips helped some of you and if you
have any tips that you recommend then leave them in the comments
below so they can help out other fellow bloggers.

xoxo
