If I am completely honest, I never used to have a morning skincare routine mainly because I didn't have time in the morning but also because I didn't see the point. I didn't see the point in using skincare when you didn't have any makeup on. I now understand!!
My skin is so much clearer from just using these 4 products. I don't like to use a lot in the morning, but I also don't want to use too little. The first I do is use the nspa revitalizing vitamin toner mist, that contains witch hazel and essential oil of neroli, which cleanses and refreshes the skin providing a smooth surface. This also gives the skin a boost and nourishes the surface of your skin. You can spray this directly onto your face but I prefer to spray some onto a cotton pad and tone my face like that as I find it easier and more refreshing.
The next step is using eye gel and eye cream. The eye gel I use the boots essential brand, and I use this both morning and evening to reduce the puffiness around my eyes. This is enriched with cucumber and vitamins that provide a cool and refreshing feeling. The eye cream I use is from a brand called balance, and I also use this both morning and night to moisturize and reduce the look of dark circles and bags around the eye area.
The last and most important step in my skincare routine is my moisturizer. I use the Johnson's face care 24 hour day cream for dry skin. This provides nourishment and hydration to the skin. This also contains SPF 15, shea butter and minerals which is great for sensitive skin and also leaves a great surface for when your apply makeup. If I don't have any time whatsoever in the mornings then I will just my moisturizer as it makes me both feel and look more awake and rejuvenated.
I have normal to dry skin with dark spots and scaring and please keep in mind that although these products work for my skin type they might not work for your skin. P.S. This is part 1 of a 3 part skin series that will also take over the next 2 posts!
