Books on my TBR

My intentions with reading is always good, but the execution, not so much. I'm hoping that doing a post of
the top books on my TBR (to-be-read list) helps to hold me accountable. If we're being completely honest,
I have over 400 unread books on my shelf (this does include classics and books I buy that I know I won't read such as; the ACOTAR series). I could sit and come up with an excuse for this but there isn't one. I get so excited and wrapped up with the concept and idea of new books and purchasing them with the intention of reading them, but never seem to get around to it and very quickly goes out the window. Which as a fellow book lover, I hope you understand. Despite all of this, and being a mood reader, these are the top books on my TBR currently that I hope to read next!

When Mars Matthias looses his sister under horrific circumstances, is propels him into learning all he can
about the once inseparable sibling who'd grown up tragically distant. Mars's gender fluidity meant that he
often excluded from family traditions including the attendance of Aspen Conservancy Summer Academy,
where his system devoted her time. He seeks out his sisters friends who dub themselves 'The Honey's'.
Both beautiful and terrifying and Mars is certain they're connected to his sisters death. The longer he stays
at Aspen Mars's memory begins to falter and toy with his mind. If Mars can't find it, it will eat him alive.

Samantha is an outside in her small MFA program at Warren University. She is utterly repelled by the
rest of her fiction writing cohort, a clique of twee rich girls who call each other 'bunny'. But then the
bunnies invite her with an invitation and Samantha finds herself at their front door, across the threshold
and down the rabbit hole.

Anastasia Allen has worked her entire life for a shot at Team USA. It looks like everything is going
according to plan when she gets a full scholarship to the University of California on their competitive
figure skating team. Nothing will stand in her way, not even the captain of the hockey team, Nate.
Nate's focus as captain his keeping his team on the ice, which is tricky when he's forced to share the
rink with the figure skating team, including Anastasia who clearly can't stand him. But when Anastasia's
skating partner faces an uncertain future, she may have to look to Nate to take her shot.

Finlay Donovan, single mom and crime writer is having a hard time. Between her ex-husband firing her
nanny and sending her 4 year old to school after an unfortunate scissor mishap, making it to lunch with
her literary agent, is a minor victory. But as she's discussing the plot of her latest crime novel the
conversation is misheard by a nearby women who believes she is a hit women planning of disposing of
her 'problem husband'. Slipping Finlay her name and a promise of a large cash sum, Finlay finds herself
plotting something bigger than just her next crime novel.

Bearded bad boy, Knox prefers to live his life the same way he takes his coffee; alone. Knox doesn't
tolerate drama, even when it comes in the form of a stranded, runaway bride. Naomi wasn't just running
from her wedding, she was riding to the rescue of her estranged twin, to Knockemout, Virginia, a rough
edged town where the disputes are settled the old fashioned way; fists and beer. Too bad for Naomi, her
evil twin hasn't changed. Helping herself to her car and cash and leaves her with something unexpected.
The niece she didn't know she had. Now she's stuck in town with no car, no job, no plan and no home
and an 11 year old niece to take care off. There's a reason Knox doesn't too dramatic, high maintenance
women but since Naomi's life just imploded in front of him, the least he can do is help her out and return
to his peaceful life.  At least that's the plan, until trouble turns to danger.

It was supposed to be a relaxing vacation with my beloved brother, but a corpse in the rental house really
throws a wrench in the tanning schedule. Now a rude, crude bounty hunter has arrived on the back of a
motorcycle to catch the killer, and refuses to believe I can be helpful despite the countless hours of true
crime podcast listening. A brash bounty hunter and an energetic elementary school teacher; the murder-
solving team no one asked for, but thanks to these pesky attempts on my life we're stuck together.

Meet Grace Bernard. Daughter, sister, serial killer. Grace has lost everything and will stop at
nothing to get revenge. They say you can't pick your family, but you can kill them.

Five years ago, schoolgirl Andie bell was murdered by Sal Singh. The police and everyone in town
knows he did it. The case is closed. But having grown up in the small small town that was consumed by
the crime, Pippa Fitz-Amobi isn't so sure. She choses this case as the topic for her final project and starts
to uncover secrets that someone in the town desperately wants to stay hidden. If the real killer is still out
there, how far will they go to keep Pippa from the truth?

What books are on your TBR?
