I have so much makeup and although I did a big declutter recently, there are still products I'm discovering
my love for. I still love makeup just as much as I did when I first started blogging, but since living alone I
don't always get chance to purchase the latest items, and blog posts have become fewer. I did a post
sharing what makeup I'm currently loving a year ago (read here) and thought it was about time I did an
update version, especially since my makeup routine has changed.
After hearing this was a dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter for £25 less I had to give it a
and didn't get on with it. As soon as I started to put this on my face I knew it would be a game
changer. This is described as a complexion booster for a glowing, soft-focus look that can be used
alone or under foundation to enhance your glow. This is enriched with squalane and hyaluronic acid,
which gives it a skincare like feel. I love to use this over primer, underneath my foundation to bring
some life to my skin without having to use more foundation, bronzer and highlighter!
For years Wet N' Wild has been talked about in the beauty community, but living in the UK it's always
been harder to get your hands on it. Thankfully Boots now stocks the main collection from Wet N' Wild,
and obviously one of the first products I had to try is the famous photo focus foundation. This is a
weightless, super nourishing soft dewy foundation with medium coverage that is easily buildable and
blendable. I love how this makes me skin look super radiant and healthy whilst not being cakey.
I don't order from Beauty Bay a lot as I get carried away extremely easily, however at the end of last year I
decided to pick up a few bits. At the time they were having a sale on their makeup range and I needed to
bump up my basket to get free shipping. I had a look at their collection and added one of their highlighters
into my basket, which not much thought. I decided to use this one day on a whim and I'm so glad I did.
This has a buildable and blendable formula which glides effortlessly onto the skin to add a radiant glow
from within. The shade flash is an icy white shimmer perfect for my fair complexion!
A few years ago I was gifted a Tarte set for Christmas which contained a mini amazonian clay
seamlessly whilst giving you a youthful boost of colour without having to reapply throughout the
day, whilst being incredibly pigmented. These are great for beginners or those who are new to Tarte
as you only have to use a small amount to achieve that perfect healthy radiant glow. This is a soft
coral pink which looks beautiful on fair to medium complexions.
After hearing everyone rave about the NYX thick it stick it brow mascara for what felt like years, I
decided it was time to pick it up. It was one of those products that I didn't have any expectations around
and used it on a whim. However, this made my brows look great. This contains buildable tinted fibres that
help to add definition and texture to the brows without flaking or smudging throughout the day.
What is your current favourite makeup item?
