What my dating profile should actually say

In hindsight I like the idea of dating, however in reality it's not all it's cracked up to be. The idea of dating
seems fun and that you're going to be having the time of your life, getting to know new people and taking
advantage of single life. I believe this comes down to films glamorising dating and that everything has to
be perfect. I've been single for about 5 months and don't have the biggest interest in dating right now, but I
do know that I will at some point. I've realised that on dating apps, you only see 1% of the person and
don't truly know who you're seeing. I loved the idea of doing a blog post about what my dating profile
should actually say, having an insight but not giving everything away!

I love to lounge at home and rewatch my favourite films. I enjoying watch Marvel films and have a guilty
pleasure for Friends. I'm very much a home body but when I go out, I go out hard. I've never had a lot of
friends but the I truly appreciate the ones I do have. I care way to much about making other people happy,
and will go out of my way to help you get everything you want. When I'm in a relationship, I go above
and beyond for you and whatever you want.

I have OCD and like my home to be clean and tidy at all times. I have been known to stay up at night
and clean, after being unable to sleep. I am very house proud and love knowing that it's a physical
representation of everything I've earned and worked for. My anxiety often keeps me up at night and I
worry about things that are out of control and my emotions are all available as a result of having BPD.
Despite all of this, I love harder than anyone, go above and beyond and will always be your biggest fan.

Often I'm described as unique person that you will either love me or hate. I'd describe myself as unique,
and I like that. There's only so much of the same that we can all take. After a years of trying to fit in, I no
longer want too. I'm happy being known for being an extremely picky eater or having a different way of
thinking than others. I'm happy for being known for caring too much, loving too hard and coming across
to strong, because what's the point in hiding away from who you are.

What would your dating profile say about you?

xoxo

  2. Oh lordy, I have absolutely no idea what mine would say. I'd definitely have to mention something about watching the same series over and over again. Peep show, the office, Inbetweeners. That's my vibe. Haha. X

  5. I would keep mine short and leave the rest for conversation. That worked for me when I met my partner :)
