Beauty must haves

We all go through phases, where we find new things that we love and forget about our old favourites, but
occasionally there are some things that are so incredible they always remain a staple. A lot of my beauty
products are those that I've loved for a long time, and swear by. I like to stick to a routine as often as I can,
so I thrive of knowing what I'm using; whether than be skincare, makeup or even food. I've seen a lot of
people share their everyday staples, but since I've fell back in love with beauty products I wanted to share
my beauty staples and must have items, that I cannot live without.

MAKEUP
2 years ago it was nearly impossible to get your hands on the ELF putty primer as Jeffree Star duped it for
the Tatcha silk canvas face primer over £40 dearer. This primer is unlike anything I've ever tried and is a
favourite for a reason. Using a small amount on your finger this glides effortlessly over the skin, blurring
out your pores giving your base a truly flawless base without any creases or moving throughout the day.

The newest product in my collection is the Tarte shape tape concealer* but instantly this became a must
have. Finding a concealer that is full coverage, lightweight and doesn't crease or move throughout the day
is nearly impossible. But this somehow manages to do all of that, and is the reason it's America's number 1
concealer brand. This contains Shea butter, mango butter and liquorice root to smooth, brighten and
condition the skin whilst providing full coverage for 16 hours of wear.

I never realised how much loved the Loreal true match powder until I tried using something else. The
Loreal powders have become very popular recently as they blew up on TikTok due to their insane
coverage. This gives you a flawless finish, and builds up coverage without looking cakey. A lot of people
like to use these alone for a more natural base, however I like to wear it on top of my foundation to help
me get a smooth canvas without any imperfections peaking through.

For the last 3 or so years I have been using a primer before my mascara and it's made such a difference.
The Loreal lash paradise mascara primer is my absolute favourite as it boosts yours lashes in length and
volume to look even fuller than before. I don't have the longest natural lashes, so using a mascara primer
not only helps enhance that but also gives the impression that I'm wear falsies, just without the hassle.
Ever since I've been using a mascara primer, I cannot apply my mascara without it.

If there is anyone to trust when it comes to creating a blinding highlighter its Jaclyn Hill. The Jaclyn Hill
beaming light loose highlighter (extra) is all I've ever wanted. This is a dazzling white gold that is super
intense yet buildable on the skin, helping you achieve that high impact wet glow look.

SKINCARE
I feel like I've raved on and on about my love for the Grounded Egyptian gold retinol serum*. Theres
something about this serum that makes my skin drink it up. The mixture of hyaluronic acid and intense
hydration is everything my skin needs, and this serum has it all. This helps target fine lines and wrinkles
as well as dark spots and hyper-pigmentation, without clogging up my pores.

If I could recommend one product from Dermalogica to try out it would be the skin smoothing
moisturiser*. Having sensitive skin, it can be hard to find products that work for me without giving me
a reaction. A lot of moisturisers I've tried are very thick and heavy, which is a lot for my skin. This
moisturiser has all the nourishing and beneficial properties that I want to help improve my skin overtime
whilst being lightweight and letting my skin breathe.

There are very few beauty products that I still like to collect, but the Dr Paw Paw multi purpose balms are
one of them. They are beyond incredible and staples in my life. They were designed with the purpose of
helping with eczema without any side affects, but have been adapted to be used on the hair, lips, skin and
nails over time. These have repaired my lips a countless amount of times, whilst saving my cuticles and
dry patches amongst my body when it gets to the colder seasons. There are only 2 of the balms that I do
not own (shimmer and overnight) because I love them that much!

For years I've been using the Boots cucumber clay face mask and I continue to repurchase it. This is
intended to only be on the skin for 3 minutes as it targets impurities and excess oils in the pores leaving it
cleansed, toned and smooth. This works best on my skin, when I leave it on until it's complete dried like a
regular face mask. This is one of the only face masks that I have purchased multiples off and that I notice
immediate results with, doing what it aims to do!

MISCELLANEOUS
Batiste dry shampoo is a favourite to the majority of people. But there's something about this dry
shampoo, that makes it so unique and sets it aside from other brands. The affordability and quality of this
is beyond insane and unlike other dry shampoos that I've tried, this actually absorbs all the excess oil from
the hair instead of sitting on top of it. I have used this for as long as I can remember and cannot imagine a
day when another brand does it better!

The Vaseline spray moisturiser has been my go to body lotion for at least 5 years now. Remembering to
apply body lotion is something I've always sucked at, and I've never enjoyed the feel of it on my skin.
Each one I've tried have either been too thick, heavy or sticky on the skin. I picked this up originally
because I like the concept of a spray moisturiser, rather that it being in a tube or a pot. Now I buy it
because it leaves my skin feeling super hydrated, nourished and silky smooth whilst immediately
sinking into my skin, without leaving it feeling heavy or sticky.

One of my all time favourite perfumes is Ted Baker sweet treats Mia. It's very rare that I will repurchase
a fragrance, as I already have so many, but for this I had to make an exception. With notes of lemon,
raspberry and blackcurrant and a base of patchouli and golden ember, is provides and effortlessly floral
scent that's not overpowering and wears beautifully on the skin throughout the day.
