Breaking down the taboos about female masturbation | AD spon

This is a product only AD with Satisfyer

Over the last 12 months I've been talking opening up my content and talking more about sex and wellness,
wanting to break down the stigma and open up a conversation. Masturbation has a stigma around it as for
so many decades sex was seen as something that only men could pleasure from, and it's sole purpose was
to reproduce. As time has gone on, we have adapted to the idea of having sex for pleasure. However when
we talk about masturbation, especially female masturbation it's seen as embarrassing and dirty. But why?

Why does nobody say anything when a man says he masturbates, but if a woman says she masturbates
eyebrows are raised and looks are given? I remember being asked in high school if I masturbated and I
was terrified to say yes, because of the fear of being judged. But the truth is I love it. I love having that
time alone to get to know my body and understand what I like. Opening yourself up to masturbation
allows you to be more open and free with sex. Female masturbation is not just for porn.

92% of women admit that they masturbate, with 30% of them being above the age of 60. 32% of women
admitted to masturbating to help them fall asleep, reduce stress levels and ease menstruation pains.
Masturbation is a form of self care. It gives you the chance to unwind and destress and even ease pelvic
pain and headaches, whilst also improving your self confidence over a long period of time.

Over the years the sex toy market has sky rocketed which has helped improve sex in relationships but also
solo play. I personally enjoy sex toys as they bring something extra to the bedroom and with the wide
variety out there, you will never get bored. Satisfyer have recently launched their love triangle which is an
air pulse vibrator that can be controlled via an app on your phone. The vibrator links up to a free app on
your phone which can sync up to your music and alarms, as well as the chance to save personalised
frequency waves for ultimate pleasure, whilst also having a feature to share a unique code with a partner
for them to have full control. Whether you are in a relationship or are single this is the perfect toy for you.
Choose to use this at home when alone, or out in public for some secret pleasure on the go.

Out of all the sex and wellness posts I've done, this is one of the most important to me. I want to end the
stigma around female masturbation. I want it to be as normal for a female to masturbate and pleasure
herself as it is for a man. I want the conversation to open up without people exchanging negative looks
and thoughts. I want women do please themselves and learn to love and understand their bodies, without
the fear of it being dirty or only for pornstars. Female masturbation is just as normal as male masturbation.

Don't be afraid to discover your own body.

xoxo
