We're engaged

This is a post I've dreamed of writing for years, and I can't believe I'm finally doing it. I've definitely 

spent the last week staring at my ring in complete disbelief. We just recently celebrated our 3 year 

anniversary together in Amsterdam but on Friday 16th August Liam, my lobster, got down on one 

knee and proposed to me. It was the perfect proposal and completely us, which is all I ever imagined.

For so long I've dreamed of this day. I imagined every scenario possible, from browsing Pinterest to 

watching every proposal video on YouTube, however I couldn't have planned it any better.

Friday was just another normal day for us. We went into town and over to Asda, which didn't 

make me suspect anything at all. If you know us in person, then you'll know that we're not one 

for huge romantic gestures or gushy acts. If Liam did do something out of the ordinary then I 

would have been curious and suspecting that something was going to happen.

This particular day both of our parents were going away for the week so we had the house for

ourselves. Once Liams parents left we started dancing in his living room listening to Amazed by

Lonestar, which I love and is also my parents first dance song. We then carried on and started dancing

to Don't Wanna Miss a Thing by Aerosmith. As soon as the song was over Liam stopped and started

talking to me and joking around. I honestly can't remember the majority of what was said but I ended

up jokingly walking away! He asked me to turn around and there he was on one knee, with a ring box

in his hand and asking me to marry him.

I got really overwhelmed and shy so I hid behind the door whilst crying for a few seconds, 

but as soon as I looked into his eyes I said YES. Of course. I spent the majority of the

evening jumping up and down, crying, smiling and phoning family.

I've dreamed of this ring everyday for the past few years since I first saw it and having the chance

 to not only see it in person but also getting the privilege of wearing it on my finger and getting to

 call myself a Fiancée is in my wildest dreams. I can't wait to plan a wedding, call myself a bride 

and a wife and get to spend the rest of my life with such an incredible man.
