Festival face | AD spon

This is an product only AD with Wilkos

Festivals have become even more popular over the years, especially since social media became more popular and people expressing themselves through fashion and makeup. Although some may say that the festival season is ending, I choose to think differently. As of today we still have a lot of festivals for the remainder of the summer including; Reading and Leeds festival at the end of the month.
When I went to a festival a few years ago I wore a simple outfit as I'm not very confident in regards to my fashion but I chose to express myself through my makeup. A lot of influencers focus on fashion now, so I wanted to go back to basics and share the perfect festival face that will last all day long.

The weather is very up and down when so making sure your base can withstand both the heat and also the rain is the main focus of your makeup. I chose Essence #insta perfect liquid foundation as I wanted to a long lasting base but also something that would make me look flawless. This does claim to have a matte finish, however it's not drying like others. I wore this from first think in the morning to late into the evening and my base still look perfect and didn't wear throughout the day.

I chose to use a bronzer with a slight amount of shimmer throughout to make me look even more radiant. For this I used the Essence mosaic compact bronzer (sun kissed beauty). I also used the Essence mosaic blush in the shade; the berry connection for the perfect hot pink sheen on my cheeks.

My favourite step of any makeup routine but even more for a bright and bold look, is highlighter. Since this is a festival look I wanted to use a more unique shade of highlighter. I went with the Essence glazed donut highlighter. This is a bright frosty white with multicolour iridescent shimmer throughout. Since I wanted to be extra glowy I added the Essence holo wow dewy lip shine (unicorn powder) to the top of my cheek bones and set it in place with the powder highlight.

After I've focused on my face I move to my eyes and I want to step out my comfort zone. I used the Essence be an original eyeshadow box (dare to be bold!). I love how intense these shadows are for such an affordable price. I mainly used the orange and coppers, but I blended the hot pink and cobalt blue down onto my lower lash line. To top the entire look off I used the Essence long-lasting eye liner pen (break the rules and jump & swim) to add some stars to the side of my face, surrounding my eyes for some extra fun without covering your face with glitter.

The number 1 most important step in any makeup routine is a setting spray. Since I wanted to
look dewy and radiant I picked up the Essence glow to go illuminating setting spray. This made
my makeup last all day whilst making me look like I was glowing from within.

  7. My local Wilkos closed down so I very rarely go into their stores now. Essence is quite a nice brand from what i have heard, i don't think that I have personally tried anything before, however I did read somebody's blog posy recently praising their mascaras so I may try and check them out.
