Stockings are the best part of Christmas in my opinion. Those small, individually wrapped presents that are most likely stupid or very much needed are my favourite to buy for others. Stocking stuffers truly show how well you know the other person and how much you care. Last year was the first year I bought gifts for a Christmas stocking and this year I'm doing it again, for my boyfriend. Personally I like to include silly little gifts or things that are essential such as body sprays, deodorants etc. I tend to stick to a budget and not spend more than £5-£10. As a result I have compiled a few stocking stuffer ideas into a post in order to share with you all.
FACE MASKS/SKINCARE
I love receiving skincare items as gifts any time of year, but especially more at Christmas. Brands release gift sets and limited edition packaging. Loreal have released a set of 3 mini clay masks that are great for trying each one out, but also the perfect amount for a single use.
CHOCOLATE
Christmas is the best time for chocolate, well other than Easter. Chocolate coins and selection boxes are a necessity to have in your stocking. Not only are they appreciated but they are also a great filler and present to get if you are buying for a difficult person.
INITIAL KEYRING
Not only are these a good stocking filler but they are also a good gift for a friend. An initial keyring is personal without being too expensive. It shows that you are caring and have put thought into their gift but it is also a simple and easy present that doesn't drown the bank account.
MAKEUP
The majority of makeup is expensive but at Christmas you can get a lot of gift sets that also come in small mini sizes. This year Real Techniques have released mini makeup brushes that come in a Christmas ornament style box which not only works as a stocking stuffer but also as a cool decoration to keep on your tree until the new year!
NOVELTY GIFTS
Novelty gifts are my favourite things to buy to put in stockings as you can find some odd gifts. When browsing I found some napkins that have festive prints on so when on your lap it looks like you're wearing underwear!! I also found a set of lenses that clip onto your phone camera to add different affects to your photos without having to buy expensive camera equipment.
ESSENTIALS
If you are lucky enough to receive a stocking the obvious thing that will definitely be inside, is necessities. This includes; shower gel, skincare, deodorants and body sprays. These are great items to include in a stocking because they don't go unused and they are always needed on a daily basis.
