July favourites

Surprisingly July seems to have hung around for quite a while. Yes, it's still gone by really fast but definitely not as fast as other months so far this year. I can't believe I am saying this but it's now August. Saying that makes it feel like Autumn is just around the corner (even though it's not until September 22nd), which makes me extremely happy as that is my favourite season. I have branched out this month and have tried and tested out some new favourites but also rekindled my love for some older products. I am looking forward to what products will be in next months favourites.
This is not my photo

This month I have been wearing makeup more often and have been experimenting more with colour and different looks for days out of events. Most of the time this means that I get back late and don't take my makeup off until gone 9pm. By that time I'm so tired and don't want to spend ages taking my makeup off, so I tried out the ever so famous hot cloth cleanser from Liz Earle. I have used this before but this month I have fell in love this. It helps get my makeup of thoroughly but also quickly, which means I don't spend half an hour at the sink taking my makeup off. This may be on the more higher end, for most people's skincare routine but I would definetly recommend trying it out.

I cannot remember a time when I didn't use the Lush tea tree toner. I recently repurchased this as I was nearly running out, and have been using it everyday since. Not only does this illuminate bacteria but also refreshes and enriches the skin due to the vitamins amongst the grapefruit water.

This month Tanya Burr released a new collection entitled chasing the sun, which was made up of 3 illuminators, 3 lip balms and 2 cream contour sticks. I have been loving the entire collection, but especially fell in love with the cream contour sticks. Both shades suit and compliment my skin tone, and look best when blended underneath my foundation. Ever since Jaclyn Hill announced her collaboration with Morphe Brushes I knew that I had to get my hands on her palette. This was released June 21st and went back on sale July 18th. This palette has 35 shades ranging from neutral everyday colours to bright more daring shades. These also come in a range of formulas from mattes to shimmers. Alongside loving the cream contour sticks that were released as part of the chasing the sun collection from Tanya Burr, I have been loving the blackberry coulis tinted lip balm. This smells incredible and just like the name, but when applied on the lips it gives a light berry toned sheer tint that is super nourishing. To read a full review on this collection click here.
