I cannot believe we're already in September and 2017 is only 3 months away. Where has the time gone?
As many of you will know, I don't do monthly favourites I do them every other month as I found they
were getting really repetitive and quite boring. So this is technically my July and August favourites.
I have 3 beauty favourites and 3 miscellaneous favourites that I have been loving to use for the past months!
When I found out that Loreal had re-formulated their foundation, I thought I would try it out again.
At first I didn't like it as I thought it broke me out, however since trying it out again I have realised
that it was a new primer that didn't react well with my skin. The foundation itself has medium-full
coverage and is on the market for £9.99 in Boots, Superdrug and other beauty stores in the high street.
Personally I love this because Loreal offer a wide range of shades for both light and dark skin tones,
they apply beautifully on the skin and are fantastic quality for being available in the drugstore.
NYX Sculpt and Highlight Brow Pencil
NYX has always been a brand that I was interested in but in England we could never get hold of it
until recently. When I went to London a few months ago I knew that I had to pick up some things from
the NYX counter at IMATS. One of the many things I picked up, was a brow pencil. I mainly picked this
up as it had a cream highlight pencil on the other end which I didn't have in any of my brow pencils. I have
mine in the shade taupe which is great for me, as I like my brows darker than my hair and more cool toned.
I don't usually like brow pencils as I find them to be hard and not easy to get a good enough pay off from them. This pencil is slightly waxy, but it doesn't feel it, which allows the pencil to give pigment to the brows without being too light, harsh or dragging on your brows when applying. This is £8 and can be at Superdrug.
Vaseline Spray and Go Body Lotion
I believe that I have put this into a favourites post last year, but I have rekindled by love for it. If you have
read some of my last posts then you will know that I recently went on holiday to Cyprus where it was
around 45 degrees. I was either sun bathing or out in the sun when we did trips, so when I got home my
skin wasn't in the best condition that it had been in. I love to use thick and heavy moisturisers as they
definitely give your skin the best moisture and hydration, but in the Summer you don't want something that
leaves you feeling sticky all over your skin. I love using the Vaseline spray and go body lotion. The reason
for this is because as it is a spray it's super easy and quick to use, you can do you entire body in 5 minutes.
It's super hydrating without being really thick and sticky on the skin, and it sinks in immediately when applied.
I Am Malala
I always get the the most amount of reading done when I'm on holiday as I find it easier to get lost in a book.
I read 2 1/2 books on holiday, but I cannot stop thinking about one in particular. This is I Am Malala. It's about a girl who lived among the Taliban, and she stood for girls education. One day on her way back from school she got shot in the face, and nobody expected her to live. She surprised everyone and made a fantastic recovery. She know lives in Birmingham with her family and still stands for girls education which she is spreading the message about worldwide. The reason I love this book so much is because, it's nothing like what I expected. I thought she'd just tell us a story about a few of her life experiences, but what you don't realise is that this entire thing was her life, she still fought, stood for her rights and she wasn't scared. This is by far the best book I have read and if you are interested in feminist books then I would 100% recommend this.
Pretty Little Liars
If any of you follow me on Twitter or know me in person then you will know how much I am obsessed with
Pretty Little Liars. I have been watching the show for around 2 years now, as it is available on Netflix.
The day this post goes live the season 7 mid-season finale has just aired. I've been especially obsessed with
it lately because it is much more intense than previous seasons and leaves you gripping the edge of your
seat wanting more, unable to wait until next week for more. I obviously know that this show is absolutely
and completely ridicolous, but that's what makes it even more fun and interesting to watch. If you have
never watched this show before then I highly recommend you start, even if you don't like scary shows.
Nintendo 3DS
Most of you will probably think that I'm a big kid for a) having one of these and b) putting it in a favourites
post. But I am in love with my Nintendo 3DS. I purchased this just before I went on holiday as I've wanted
one for years, plus I thought it would be great for wasting time on the plane. I actually had a Nintendo DS
when they first came out and I believe I had the first 3 editions, which I ended up selling. When I bought
this I purchased 3 games which were; Animal Crossing, Mario Kart and Super Mario Bros 2. If any of you
are interested in XBOX or PlayStation games then this is the obsession and love I have for this!!
