Masturbation myths

Masturbation is still such a hugely taboo topic, especially in regards to female or multi masturbation.
There are so many myths floating about claiming that masturbation is bad for you and there is such a thing
as too much, but this isn't the case. I wanted to share some of the most popular masturbation myths in this
game of Chinese whispers, and put them to bed (no pun intended!) as it's time we spoke up, let people
know the truth and hopefully get this to become less of a taboo topic.

ONLY SINGLE PEOPLE MASTURBATE
No matter what someone's relationship status is, people masturbate. It can actually bring something
new to the relationship, as you can include your partner in it and do it with one another. There are some
people/couples who don't like to masturbate as they feel like it's cheating or like they aren't good enough.
However everyone has different levels and intensities of sexual desire that and all are perfectly normal and
some of those include masturbating.

PEOPLE ONLY MASTURBATE WHEN ALONE
This ties in with the the previous 'myth' that; 'only single people masturbate'. There are a lot of couples
who like to masturbate together as it explores their sexual desires as well as adding a lit bit of spice to the
bedroom, that might not have been there previously. Multiple masturbation can increase the flame and
chemistry in the relationship again as well as a way to preform safe sex without the risk of an unwanted
pregnancy and STI's.

MASTURBATION IS NOT NORMAL
This is something that I heard a lot growing up, especially in regards to female masturbation. This is not
true. Masturbation is totally healthy and a normal part of a persons sex life. Masturbation gives you the
chance to explore your own body, desires and what you do and don't like as well as the opportunity to
pleasure yourself without needing the help of another person.

THERE ARE NO BENEFITS OF MASTURBATION
Something that might surprise a lot of people is that there are quite a few health benefits that come
along with masturbating, such as; better sleep, reduced stress levels, fewer headaches, improved
concentration, better fitness and increased self esteem. For older women it can also help with reduce
pain during penetrative sex and vaginal dryness.

YOU CAN MASTURBATE TOO MUCH
Masturbation can only become too much if it is affecting your health or putting a strain on your
relationships. You or others might think that there is such thing as 'too much masturbation' but there are
no negative side affects that has been proven to be caused from too much masturbating. There is no right
or wrong amount that someone can masturbate and only you can be the judge of that.

  2. Yessss! Thank you for speaking out on this, I feel like no one really talks openly about (especially female) masturbation and it's silly. It's a part of life and it's been so stigmatised, it's definitely time to get the truth out there! Also you look absolutely bangin in the photo!
