Goals for the remainder of 2021

New Year's resolutions, and goals are something I love setting at the beginning of the year or to set out
my 5 year plan, but after that I never think about them. Over the last 15 months, with COVID, I think it's
put a lot of things into perspective and made everyone, myself included, how short life is. We might be
nearly 7 months into the year but we can still set goals. There are so many things I want to accomplish in
so many aspects of my life, so why wait until the next Monday, or the start of a new month or a new year?

I'm starting now.

FINISH MY FLAT
This is something that I know I will complete because there are only a small amount of things that I
would like to get, until it's finished. Obviously it will never be 100% complete, because there will always
be accessories I want to add or things to change around, but that's fine! I'm hoping to achieve this in the
next month or two and focus on some of my other goals afterwards.

BE HAPPY WITHIN MYSELF
After having a shit start to the year, I'm slowly starting to feel more like myself. Loving yourself doesn't
happen overnight, and more people need to talk about that. Self love and self confidence takes time and it's
a process. I'm in a much better place now than I was last week, and better than I was a month ago. This
time last year I was in a really good place, and the most confident I've ever been and would love to get
back to that. It's happening slower than I would like, but it 'slow and steady wins the race'.

HAVE £1000 IN SAVINGS
As I mentioned in a previous post, I am now (for the first time ever, due to mental health) working full
time. Living on my own meant that I had to push myself and I'm so glad I did. I am proud of my hours,
work ethic and income and can comfortably afford my flat as well as treating myself and putting away
savings. As I haven't been at my job long, I haven't built up any savings yet as I've been focusing on other
things. However as my flat is nearly complete I can save for a rainy day. £1000 might not seem like a lot,
but when I have an entire flat, bills and food to pay for on my own, I am more than happy with that.

HAVE MORE TATTOOS
This is something that I know is going to happen because I have already booked in for some. Within the
next 2 weeks I will have 3 new additions and by the beginning of September there will be another 5. If
you know me then you know just how much I love tattoos, since I already have 25. I'm planning on
making some small additions and adding onto some that I already have and then hopefully by the end of
2021 I will have finished my thigh piece too! This is definitely a 'smaller goal' in comparison, but
something that makes me feel good and that I enjoy doing.

COME OFF MY ANTIDEPRESSANTS
Again, this is another goal that I know will happen because I am already working on it. For so long I have
wanted to come off my antidepressants but it was just never the right time. I decided to finally bite the
bullet and am a week into the process already. Last time I came off my medication is wasn't off my choice
and I was severely ill due to having major withdrawal symptoms. I wanted to do it properly so within the
next 3 months I should be full off my medication! Which will be the first time in years, and I cannot wait.

What do you want to achieve in the next 6 months?

xoxo

  1. I think having goals is so important and these are some big ones! I have faith that you'll be able to smash all of these. I'd like to get my savings pot back up again

    1. I'm pretty confident that I'll be able to do 3 of them, the savings and being happier within myself we'll have to see x
