We could all do with some beauty advice, no matter how old we are or how long we've been in the 'beauty'
game for. There's always room for improvement. Over the years I've learnt a lot and improved in a lot of
ways, not just because of time and age but also because I've educated myself. I definitely wish I had some,
or all, of these tips a few years ago. This is just some of the best beauty advice that I recommend.
DON'T USE PERFUME ON YOUR HAIR
We all like to smell nice, especially when swishing your hair around. I have used perfume in my hair
before and it does smell amazing. However perfume contains alcohol which dries out your hair. You
can now get perfume/mist specifically designed for your hair, that leaves it smelling amazing without
drying it out. Hair mists still contain alcohol as it's a fragrance, but a much lower percentage.
STOP TOUCHING YOUR FACE
Throughout the day you touch a lot more things than you realise, meaning there are millions of germs
all over your hands. You are then getting all the germs and bacteria from your hands all over your face,
increasing the risk of acne. It's a lot easier said than done to stop touching, but it makes such a difference.
DRY SHAMPOO IS YOUR BEST FRIEND
Dry shampoo is not just for when your hair is greasy. I use it everyday to plump my hair and add volume.
I love using it to add texture which makes doing my hair a lot easier and holds up the style throughout the
day. Using too much can dry your hair out and produce alot of residue in your scalp, so use in moderation.
DO NOT PUMP YOUR MASCARA
Pumping the mascara wand in and out of the tube, does not get more product on it. Instead what's
happening is air is getting inside the tube making the mascara dry out. If you are wanting to get more
mascara on the wand, do a gentle twist around the outside of the tube to pick up the excess.
EYEBROWS ARE SISTERS NOT TWINS
I think everyone has heard this quote, but it's so true. Sometimes I think my eyebrows have fell out,
because they look so different! Eyebrows aren't supposed to look the same, and if they did it would
look really odd. Whether it's tweezing the same amount of hairs or trying to achieve the same arch,
it's not always a good idea.
What's your best beauty advice?

DeleteI didn't know that about perfume, I don't really spray mine in my hair though I usually opt for my clothes since I have eczema. It lasts on them for days it's fab!

DeleteAll of this advice is what I think in my head 2947674 times a day! Even now that I work from home, I love a bit of dry shampoo! I try not to touch my face but I can't help it - especially after a long day at my screen! Also, I recently tried fragrance free shampoo for my hair and wow what a difference!

Touching my face is definitely what I need to work on the most x
DeleteI read somewhere that we touch our faces more than 16 times an hour which is crazy when you think about it. I would never have really considered it before.
