Feeling overwhelmed

I've lost count of how many times I've felt stressed and overwhelmed. Whether that be with personal
issues, work, society, relationships or sometimes nothing at all. Although everyone knows it's normal
and we all can feel this way, I don't find many people talking about it. Often people confuse feeling
overwhelmed and being anxious, however they are completely different.

Being overwhelmed is the feeling of a significant amount of pressure and weight on you. Anxiety is
being worrisome, nervous and on edge. Everyone will feel anxious throughout some point of their
life, however it becomes anxiety when it starts to rule your days, months and eventually your life.

I can feel overwhelmed about tiny things from not doing something to the time stamp that I gave
myself, to work shifts. At the time you can get so in over your head and wrapped up in the moment,
causing you to get more overwhelmed and begin what I call a snowball affect.

I've started to find small things that make me feel more calm and bring me back to reality. I've really
started to enjoy reading more and treating myself to an intense and thorough pamper night. It's important to do things that you enjoy and find relaxing, that also don't take a lot of thought.

We often find ourselves so consumed with our thoughts that we forget about whats happening around
us. Surrounding yourself with family and friends that mean a lot to you, can help you feel more
grounded. Try having quiet and relaxed days in the house, where you have no plans.

Remember, it won't last.

    2. I relate to this so hard! I've been feeling very overwhelmed lately, I've found it helps to take a time out and disconnect from the online world (which seems to be the source of my anxieties right now!)

  3. I know exactly how you feel. The past few years since I've had the boys have gone so fast and sometimes small things get bigger in my mind at times and become almost overwhelming and I find the best way to deal with it is a pamper or me time every now and then x
