Summer reading list

Reading is something that I love to do, but don't do it enough. I typically read most when on holiday as I don't like tanning and just sitting around so I read a lot of books. Saying this I am still reading the same book from when I went on holiday last August. I know .. it's bad. I have already been on holiday this year, but it's now the Summer holidays and I don't have a lot of plans, I am determined to read a lot of books as I have a bookshelf full, that I haven't yet read. I love to see what books people buy and like to read, so I have compiled a small list of books to read this Summer.

WILDE LIKE ME - LOUISE PENTLAND
Robin Wilde is a single mum to Lacey, and loves to act bonkers and crazy. On the inside she is lonely, so she after 4 years of being single she decides to change that. This is the first novel by Youtuber Louise Pentland, also known as Sprinkleofglitter. One of the reasons I'm so excited to read this is because I guess it's loosely based on Louise's life, and I love stories that are like that. To be this books just screams love, laughter, honesty and summer. I can't wait to read this.

ISLA AND THE HAPPILY EVER AFTER - STEPHANIE PERKINS
Set in New York city and Paris Isla falls hopelessly in love with Josh the artist but soon release that happily ever afters aren't always forever. Their paths collide with Anna and Etienne and Lola and Cricket. This is the last book in a love trio by Stephanie Perkins, where they all come together and become part of a series, but can still be read as a stand alone book.

ALL THE BRIGHT PLACES - JENNIFER NIVEN
Theodore is a young boy who is fascinated with death and thinks of ways to commit suicide but finds something good, no matter how small, that stops him. Violet loves thinking about the future and exceeds on finding ways to escape her sisters death. They soon meet when standing on the edge of a bell tower. Even though this sounds quite down and negative I have heard so many good reviews about this book and how it doesn't romantise or glorify everything.

FANGIRL - RAINBOW ROWELL
Cath and Wren are identical twins but couldn't be more different. Wren loves to party and Cath is more shy and more reserved. She has to decide whether she's ready for new experiences and adventures. I have read quite a few books from Rainbow Rowell and love her style of writing. I would describe her as the female John Green, as they both have the same writing style that's simple to read but still has depth. This is next on my list of her books to read, and cannot wait to find out more.

EVERYTHING EVERYTHING - NICOLA YOON
Maddy is a young girl whom is allergic to the world, so much so that it could kill her. A boy named Olly then moves next door and Maddy soon realises there is more to life than just being alive and tries everything to see where it leads. I bought this as part of the Zoella book club in collaboration with Whsmith, and soon realised that it is being turned into a movie staring Nick Robinson and Amanda Stenberg, which makes me want to read this book even more.

GIRL ONLINE, GIRL ONLINE ON TOUR and
GIRL ONLINE GOING SOLO - ZOE SUGG
Penny blogs secretly online about friends, family, high school and her anxiety. Her family whisks her off to New York where she meets Noah, but he has a secret too. In the second novel Noah and Penny go away together but Penny soon starts to get jealous and continplates whether this life is for her. In the third novel Penny starts back at school but her past with Noah starts to haunt her. These books are written by YouTuber Zoe Sugg, also known as Zoella. Despite the first book being released in 2014 I still haven't got round to reading them, and have decided that this Summer is the time to do so.
