The Winter Lip

Despite the typical cold English weather it is still not Winter until next Wednesday, but we living

 in the UK might as well be Winter all year round! For me I automatically think dark, red or 

vampy lips, but neutrals are much easier to wear and style. I have put together 5 lipsticks that I 

think are great for this time of the year, for both the dark and neutral lip lovers!

MAC SATIN -  TWIG

If you want to wear a dark lip but you're not quite brave enough to wear a red, then MAC satin lipstick in the shade twig is great. This is a dark 90's nude that adds some definition to the lips but isn't too bold. This is great to pair with bare eyes and have your lips as the focus or paired with a bold eye and more natural.

COLLECTION GOTHIC GLAM - SEDUCTION

I bought the set of 3 lipsticks from the gothic glam range at Collection cosmetics quite a while ago, but I never reach for them. As you can probably tell by the title of the range is is a more vampy collection. Out of all of them I think that shade 1 seduction is the most wearable for a range of different skin tones. This is a bright dark red that is super moisturising and will look great on light, medium and dark toned skin. 

MAX FACTOR - ROSEWOOD

When you don't want to wear a natural shade, but you don't want something too dark either Max Factor lipstick in the shade Rosewood is perfect for achieving that. It is a medium toned brown with a slight purple undertone, which suits the Winter season perfectly without being too dramatic and overwhelming.

NATURAL COLLECTION MOISTURE SHINE - CHERRY RED & CRIMSON

Trying to find a red lipstick that is moisturising, the shade you want and it being affordable can sometimes prove quite a challenge. Natural Collection is a brand that are good quality yet all of their cosmetics are under £2. For a more medium toned true red lipstick that is affordable I would recommend trying the 

Natural Collection moisture shine lipsticks in the shade cherry red or crimson.

MAC MATTE - PLEASE ME 

If you are more of a neutral makeup lover and aren't as confident to wear bright or dark lips, then MAC matte lipstick in the shade please me is perfect. This is a light-medium toned pink that is great for both day and night looks as it is long lasting but is very moistursing on the lips and looks gorgeous with any look.
