August Favourites

For the last few months I haven't tried anything new and have been stuck in a rut.
However this month that has changed. I have tried quite a few products or found items that I used
to love but had totally forgotten about.

My first favourite this month is the new Tanya Burr Hollywood eye shadow palette. This came out just over a week ago and I ordered this at 7.30 in the morning from Feel Unique because I was worried that they were going to sell out. They arrived on Monday and in less than a week I have feel in love with this palette. This has 4 shades ranging from a highlight to a beautiful colour for definition. All of the 3 palettes are very similar but this is the gold toned one out of them and this is by far my favourite. I will be uploading a bonus post next week of my review of her new collection.

This month I have really gotten into eye shadow and recently purchased 2 more of the Maybelline 24 hour colour tattoos. I picked up the famous on and on bronze and a leather effect base in creamy beige. On and on bronze looks great underneath the Tanya Burr Hollywood palette. The creamy beige is a great natural base that can be worn everyday but easily built up for a more dramatic affect.

Not long after I started getting into makeup I found the Rimmel sun shimmer bronzer and I absolutely loved it. I went through an entire one (which I find hard to do, especially with bronzers) and even repurchased it, but for some reason I stopped using it. I was looking through my bronzers for an upcoming blog post, and rediscovered this. I love to use this lightly all over my face to add colour and then my body shop honey bronzer for some extra definition and shape.

At the beginning of the month I went to boots for some products that I had ran out of but as usually I ended up coming out with a lot more that what I went in for. One of the things that I picked up was the Seventeen 3 way skin wow liquid highlighter. This can be used as a primer, mixed with foundation or used as a liquid highlight on top of your cheekbones. I have tried all 3 ways and the method that works best for me is mixing it with my foundation. Personally I have dry skin yet I still have to set my foundation otherwise it separates on my face, so I find it really hard to make my skin look dewy but this helps me achieve that really easily.

My last favourite this month isn't necessarily a physically item but more of a decor item. I have bought these shelves about 3-4 months ago but haven't had the time to put them up. The beginning of this month I put them up and have been loving finding quirky item to put them up!
