The year of me

For such a long time I've put myself on the back slide. I've spent more time focusing on the people
around me and making sure that they are happy and showing them that I care, rather than focusing on
myself. I often take mental health days as it's important to me to make sure that I don't fall back into
old habits and become what I used to be. However saying this, I decided that 2019 is the year of me.

If you read my what is 2019 to me post then you will know that I wanted to put myself first and
do things that I've been putting of for a while or just haven't done. This starts with my physical
appearance. Not because looks mean everything but because a lot of my self confidence is driven
by the way I look, therefore I want to improve upon it and look the way that I wish I did. A lot of
things that I have booked or have in mind for this year may seem small to you and in retrospect
but overall I hope they are going to help improve my confidence.

So far I've booked in for my first facial (microdermabrasion session), getting my nails done,
more tattoos, my hair done and I'm also getting some moles looked at and removed which I've
put of doing for so long because I've been scared to do so.

I also want to focus on my mental health this year. Unfortunately I've had to go back onto
medication which I didn't want to do. However I've come to the conclusion that if taking some
tablets it was helps to carry on throughout life then that's ok. There is nothing wrong with getting
some help along the way. I would also like to go back to therapy and have some more counselling
sessions, just to talk to more and to a professional who understands what I'm going through.

One of the biggest things for me last year was finally finishing and completing college after 3 years of
long and hard work, and getting a job from that qualification. I have set a few goals that I would like
to achieve in the aspects of work, whether that be my normal day job or with my blog and Instagram.
Everything from pushing myself through panic attacks in uncomfortable situations, to taking more
photos of myself and working with more brands.

I want to look back at 2019 in years to come and be thankful for what I
did and achieved and be truly grateful for the year of me.
