Christmas party makeup - Blogmas day 10

Christmas time is the best time for makeup. You get to wear glitter at any time of day and full coverage makeup without being considered overdone. Every year I like think that I'll be invited to a Christmas party, when it never actually happens. Despite this I still like to plan out what makeup I would wear to a Christmas party, and most of all share it with you all.

BASE
A Christmas party screams full coverage and flawless makeup to me. I like to use the Benefit porefessional primer to give me a flawless base, and the Max Factor face finity primer which helps the makeup last all night. The best foundation that I have tried is the Dior forever skin foundation as this gives the perfect flawless base. Concealer is a must, but it is key to make sure it is set in place.

CHEEKS
To make sure that my makeup lasts all day I make sure to set it in place with a powder, which also helps the rest of your makeup to apply evenly. To warm up my face I use the Bourjois chocolate bronzer and the Sleek contour kit to add extra definition to my face. The MUA mosaic blush not only adds colour back into your face but also adds a natural sheen to your cheeks. For a full coverage flawless look, a bold glory highlighter is a must. The Revolution Soph x highlighter palette gives the perfect amount of blinding highlight to the face that compliments the look. Obviously you want to make sure your makeup is going to last all day, which is why I use the Barry M setting spray.

EYES AND LIPS
When it comes to a Christmas party, you want to look and feel your best which is why I love using the Jaclyn Hill x Morphe palette. This palette has every shade that you could need to achieve a bold and dramatic look or an everyday natural look. Check out my full review here. I like to go for a natural look with a bit of drama added in by using reds or warmer tone shades. When it comes to my lips I still like to keep natural so I use the Kate Moss Rimmel lipstick in the shade 101, with the Loreal holographic lip gloss in the shade Polaris pink.
